About Me

I love to learn and teach. Some recent obsessions: comparing Hamlets and learning formal language theory. I’ve also finally committed to a systematic study of abstract algebra.

During the last 10 years, I’ve taught myself vector calculus, linear algebra, organic chemistry, and post-1789 revolutionary history. I have traditional degrees from Harvard and MIT; but lifelong learning has been more fun! 🤓

Professionally, I’ve worked in Silicon Valley for 20+ years at Microsoft, Amazon, Box, and several startups.

Tech Stack

I built this site by forking the AstroPaper blog theme created by Sat Naing.

AstroPaper is made with AstroJS which means I mostly edit HTML and Markdown files with occasional changes to CSS. The site uses vanilla JavaScript/Typescript, a tiny amount of ReactJS for interactivity, and TailwindCSS for styling. Site is served by Netlify.
